Monica Dogra’s latest EP ‘Seeing Red’ gets a release date
By Bryan Durham - October 31, 2018
New music dropping on November 2
Monica Dogra’s been talking about her EP, Seeing Red for some time now. Calling it ‘global bass’ (she has said in interviews that “it’s a mix of bass, trap and hip-hop”.
Not just that, she just concluded her Seeing Red EP Launch Tour spanning six cities – five in India with a slot at the ADE in Amsterdam between October 12-26 (with a promise of more dates being added).
She now has revealed that she will release the EP on Diwali (November 2). She posted this message on social media: “There is a beautiful clarity that occurs from hitting rock bottom…When in the middle of a tragedy or trauma, a superhuman consciousness takes over – a personality of a survivor who just has no time to give a f*** about the trivial and base nonsense that can often cloud a person’s mind.
For me, SEEING RED, is about exactly this state of mind. I am here, this is who I am, and there are truths so strong and so deep that public opinion cannot shake it and money cannot make it, where ignorance is met with love at a time where there is nothing to prove but still so much to offer.”
