New Rihanna ‘album’ dropped from Apple Music!

Rest easy, Navy, it ain’t R9!
Before you get all excited, here’s a dampener. Rihanna’s latest drop isn’t ninth album we were expecting. The follow-up to 2016’s ANTI, the fan-dubbed R9, is still a while off.
What has happened is this. A fan-made album of RiRi’s unreleased tracks under the name Fenty Fantasia was released on Apple Music under the title ANGEL and debuted at #67 on the Worldwide iTunes Albums chart, despite not being an official release.
Thankfully, it isn’t a leak of her latest album, expected to be a double-disc album — one full of “chart-friendly songs”, and another of “moody and experimental tracks”, going by reports in April 2018.
Fans, who managed a look-see before the album was removed from Apple Music feel that the songs date back to 2005-2008 and include collaborations with Chris Brown and Nicole Scherzinger.
At the end of January 2019, Rihanna’s producer The Dream confirmed to US radio station Hot 97 that her new album is almost finished. “She’s cooking, she’s about done,” he said. “She’s about done. Super close.”
When a fan reached out and asked “What’s with this mess Rih? Get their a** to jail asap’, she replied, “Sh*ts crazy.”
Her nonchalant tone suggests she has nothing to worry about. What it spells out though is the power of RiRi’s brand.
In December 2018, Rihanna had confirmed that the album is coming this year. When exactly, is still up in the air!>
