Starting November 4, the second season of T-Series MixTape Punjabi will premiere on YouTube while the songs will be available first on Amazon Prime Music.
Season 2 will have 11 episodes and sees Abhijit Vaghani return as the music director of the series while director duo Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao have directed the series.
What can one expect from the new season? Says T-Series Chairman and Managing Director Bhushan Kumar, “In Season 2, we have upped the entertainment factor. We have given the series a different twist to make it appealing to a younger audience. The look and feel of the new season is a lot more international and extremely fresh. And it’s going to be a lot groovier.”
Add Vinay and Radhika, “Season 2 is going to be a light-and-sound extravaganza and will bring out the song’s lyrical content and the mood through every instrument played. Most importantly, it will bring out each singer’s personality. Every person watching will feel each emotion felt by the singer/musician while rendering the song and will feel each emotion they shared with the co-singer or the co-artist.
But what will the music be like? Notes Abhijit, “We have a lot more upbeat tracks this time, featuring new artists and tracks from the Punjabi music industry. We have experimented a lot with music arrangements to give the audience a new listening experience.
The series will showcase performances by Guru Randhawa, Tulsi Kumar, Sukh E, Neeti Mohan, Millind Gaba, Dhvani Bhanushali, Hans Raj Hans, Navraj Hans, Yuvraaj Hans, RanjitBawa, Harshdeep Kaur, Akhil Sachdeva, Kaur B, Meet Bros, Jonita Gandhi, Kanika Kapoor, Ninja, Inder Chahal, Asees Kaur, Jordan Sandhu and Palak Muchhal.
